  Moderator Testing?
Is there any source on the internet where I can find Forum Moderator evaluation i.e tests a moderator should pass before he can be made a moderator?

This is a great question and we thank you for posing it. While we are unaware of any published tests or evaluations on the internet, we do know that some training programs provide an evaluation at the end of the course. This evaluation helps to gauge a moderator's capability and ability to understand and implement the proper techniques.

We recommend to community developers and online community owners to think about the particular skills that they wish for their moderators to have and then develop a set of questions that will help to assess a moderator's abilities. It is most helpful too, to include various scenarios describing situations that may occur in the community and then asking the moderator how they would best handle that situation. This will provide you with a good sense of how a potential moderator may deal with sensitive issues and whether they have the skills that you are looking for.

We have posted this question on our message board to gain other community developers' comments and ideas. Please do feel free to join in the discussion and again, we thank you for your question.
