Community Answers Training Courses

Community Manager Essentials

Whether you are a seasoned community manager or new to the ranks, this training is for you. During this four week course you will go through community building exercises, hone your management skills and interact with other community managers to share ideas and tips. Our instructors will ensure that by the time you leave the training course, you will have learned some new techniques and trade secrets to help make your job as community manager a fulfilling, creative and successful one.

The training is divided into four online classes that will take place in a live chat environment. Over the entire month, in conjunction with the online classes, there will be assignments and scenarios placed on messages boards for team interaction and group work. Instructor feedback and guidance will be provided for each assignment to ensure you receive the best instruction possible.


Class Syllabus and Schedule:

WEEK ONE:
1.Moderation Team Management: Building an Internal Community.
2. Theory of Volunteer/Staff Involvement.

WEEK TWO:
3. Essential Volunteer/Staff Management.
4. Supervising Remote Individuals.

WEEK THREE:
5. Creative Problem Solving and Troubleshooting
6. Recovering from E-mail and Time Management Blues

WEEK FOUR:
7. Looking After Yourself As Community Manager.
8. Building Solid Working Relationships.

Growing Community without the Weeds

If you are thinking about adding community to your site or have a community already underway, but are looking for new ideas, please join us for this interactive training session. Our experienced facilitators will assist you in getting the most out of your community, and provide you with some tried and true suggestions that will assist in the successful launch or growth of your community.

WEEK FOUR:
7. Your Growing Community: Maintaining and Nurturing Growth.

Participants receive with each course:


Hands-On Instruction - Our experienced instructors will be present every step of the way to provide you with the assistance you need and answer any questions you may have.

Group Learning Environment - Participation in the course includes working with others in your group. This will provide you with a great environment to gain insight from others in your field and further enhance your learning experience.

Post-Class Board Access - We will provide you with access to your class boards for 30 days from the time the course ends. This will enable you and your classmates to exchange further ideas and information on your experiences.


Cost for Each Course

$250 per person

Non profit agencies will receive a 15% discount with proper proof of non-profit status.

A 10% group discount is offered to groups of five or more booking at the same time.

Refunds are available up to seven days prior to the training, minus a $25 fee for processing of registration.
